About Us
Scalable Architectures LLC is a premier provider of geosocial and situational awareness applications. Founded in 2008 by Danny Thornton and Adam Humphrey, Scalable Architectures LLC is a Cupertino, California based company that is creating new ways to communicate with your friends and colleagues.
Danny's background is in software architecture, project planning, and software development. Danny has led teams of software engineers at companies including GTE Government Systems, TRW, Lockheed Martin, and startups in the development of distributed software systems. This broad background with large and small companies has given Danny the opportunity to apply many software technologies and software life-cycle methodology practices.
Danny is a member of the OASIS SOA Technical Committee and one of the editors of the OASIS SOA Reference Architecture, a follow on from the OASIS SOA Reference Model standard.

Adam's background includes work at Fortune 100 companies including Hewlett Packard as well as a handful of start-ups. Adam possesses an exceptional ability to analyze and translate needs and challenges into software and user interface design solutions. Both artist and engineer, Adam has that extremely rare ability to meld complex technical systems and user interface designs into cohesive, intuitive, and elegant solutions.
Adam and Danny developed the YourGlobalGrid.com project as a realization of the world's first implementation of the OASIS SOA Reference Architecture and OASIS emergency management standards.
When released earlier this year, YourGlobalGrid.com provided the first EDXL Resource Messaging and Hospital AVailablity Web Service Interfaces to the public domain. YourGlobalGrid.com is now being used to track Global Geologic Events using the OASIS Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) including Tropical Storms, Hurricanes, Volcanic Events, Earthquakes, and Tsunamis.
